Quilters Who Dared

See 250 years of American quiltmaking at its most freewheeling, improvisational, bold, and beautiful! I'll puncture a few myths, and show you how passionate individuality has been accepted--or not! This magical history tour will crisscross from antique traditions-with-a-twist to contemporary art quilts, from high Amish handwork to poor, unschooled expressions, and include many other historical, hysterical, and stellar examples of this cultural phenomenon. This presentation is sure to encourage you to become a BIT more daring in your own quiltmaking!

“Guild members really enjoyed the program: both the quilts and the slides were wonderful.  Days afterward I received calls that Elly’s program was one of the best we’d had this year.”  Dorothy, Tiadaghton Quilt Guild
